Dentist

Emmanuel Lazanakis

Emmanuel is one of the founding partners of the practices and the Director of the Sussex Dental Group

I graduated in the year 2000 from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, but have spent my entire career so far practicing in the UK . I have been at the practice from the very beginning and am now in my 14th year of providing dental services to the people of Sussex. Being established at the same practice for so many years is a very rewarding experience. I have seen some patients go from being children, to now being parents themselves and entrusting me with the care of their own children in turn.

Although I am an old horse, I am always seeking new challenges. I have recently completed a 3 year stint as a Foundation Trainer, mentoring and supporting newly qualified foundation dentists, and have recently embarked on a post-graduate diploma in Minor Oral Surgery at the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. I also am an executive member of the West Sussex Local Dental Committee.

I  have an interest in prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry and enjoy the challenge of providing smile makeovers to my patients. I am also an experienced provider of Invisalign clear orthodontics.

Another of my current projects is the re-invention of our practice with the modern brand and image. We are looking to always be innovative and fresh, while still delivering the same high quality care for our patients.

I am married with 3 young children who keep me extremely busy outside work. I enjoy history and cultural activities, and still play a bit of football and basketball although I am now in the twilight of my sporting career!!
